Finish Carpentry
Coordinate visible woodwork across a room, from paneling and window casings to built-in trim and the joints where old and new details meet.

Choose a profile that belongs in the room
Look at the existing door casings, baseboards, window stools and ceiling trim together. Sample the proposed profiles in place. A change of thickness at one opening can affect how several pieces meet.
Set expectations for the final finish
Paint-grade and clear-finished wood call for different approaches to joints, grain and patching. Agree on a finish sample, the extent of wall touch-up and which edges stay visible from adjoining rooms.
Can new woodwork match the original trim?
Bring an offcut or a clear close-up with measurements. If the profile is no longer stocked, the team can compare a close match with custom milling.
