Countertop Installation
Choose and fit countertops around the sink, appliance openings, seams, edge profiles and the cabinetry that supports the finished surface.
Plan the slab layout
Bring a cabinet plan and photos of the material you like. On veined stone, the direction of the pattern and where two pieces meet can change how the kitchen reads from the doorway. Discuss seam and edge locations while there are still options.
Coordinate template and installation
The fabricator needs the final cabinet layout, sink specifications and relevant appliance cutouts. Include backsplash height, faucet clearance and edge overhangs in the discussion so each trade works to the same dimensions.
Should I buy the sink before templating?
Choose the sink model early and ask what the fabricator needs on site. A different bowl or mounting style can change the opening after a template has already been made.
