Walnut Creek's Community Development Department accepts building permit applications online only, so the drawing set is prepared for digital submittal from the start.
- Submit through Accela. We upload the application and the architect's drawings through Accela Citizen Access, since the City does not accept paper or emailed applications.
- Work through review. Reviewer comments come back online, and we revise the drawings until the permit is ready to issue.
- Inspect and close out. Rough work is inspected before walls are covered, and a final inspection completes the permit.
